My wife and I were at a Starbucks in North Hollywood and I spotted the David-Lynch-favorite-little-person actor walking in alone, wearing a t-shirt and jeans. I muttered "celebrity alert!" under my breath but predictably, she couldn't see him because she was only looking at eye level. We took our coffees outside and I told her who it was.
When he came out with his latte, I was too shy to introduce myself but Ellen wasn't - she told him that Carnivale was one of her favorite shows and that he was great in it. Anderson is a very nice guy and very charismatic in person. He chatted with us for a few minutes, and said that he truely loved working on the show because the scripts were so interesting. Then he walked off with his beverage. We both hope he gets more work. And we both hope none of it involves talking backwards.
